- Hypersensitivities to touch (tactile defensiveness)
- Hypersensitivities to smell, vision, hearing
- Over responsive to movement (fearful, avoider, easily dizzy)
- Underresponsive to movement (thrill seeker, takes excessive risks, doesn't seem to register movement normally)
- Under or over responsive to touch, taste, smell, hearing, vision
- Poor body movements, uncoordinated, difficulty with sports
- Difficulty with problem solving
- Poor organization
- Difficulty following directions
- Poor eating habits
- Difficulty making friends and with peer relationships
- Developmental delays in motor skills and speech development
- Attentional issues and regulation issues
- Poor memory
- Academic difficulties
- Difficulties with transitions
- Rigid and controlling behaviors
- Poor play skills and imagination
- Restricted interests
- Cognitive inflexibility

- Emotionally fragile

There are many quick and easy checklists that you and your pediatrician or family practitioner can complete to better identify your child's issues and the need for further assessment and formal evaluation. If occupational therapy issues are identified, you can then be directed to the appropriate clinician for evaluation and treatment as needed.
