Meet the Staff 

Owner Kimberley Cook has been an occupational therapist for 24 years and has extensive experience in many areas of OT.  Kim is trained in Dynamic Listening, one of a few clinicians in the Northeast.  She offers her expertise in helping children and their families advocate for their needs. Kim lives with her husband in Haverhill.

Our Staff

Julie Herron, M.S., CCC-SLP, joined our Speech Therapy team in November 2006.  Julie is a seasoned therapist who has worked in a variety of settings including school systems and clinical based settings. She specializes in functional language therapy and feeding issues, and provides evaluations, treatments, and group therapy.  Julie lives in Hampstead, NH with her husband and their five children.

Alexis Sciuto, M.S., CCC-SLP, joined our Speech Therapy team in July 2013.  Alexis works full time in the Haverhill Public School system and at Angel Care on a part-time basis.  Alexis has experience in working with children with various diagnoses. She specializes in receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation delays/disorders, and social skills in elementary and middle school age children. She lives in Merrimac with her husband.

Jaclyn Scarsella, M.S., CCC-SLP

Jennifer Merrill, COTA/L, is a board Cerified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), with additional certifications in pediatric massage therapy and child yoga. Her career as a COTA began in the Watertown public school system and evolved into a love of working in the clinic setting here at Angel Care, exploring play-based Sensory Integration therapy with children of all abilities. Jenny strives to maintain a fresh and current approach to therapeutic interventions by informing her practice with evidence-based theories and research. Born and raised in the seacoast area, she currently lives in Amesbury, MA with her husband, daughter, and son. Favorite interests and occupations of hers include; baking, gardening, yoga, anything involving the beach, and being a mom to two wonderful kids, of course. 

Tracy Palumbo, OTR/L, Tracy comes to Angel care Kids with 21 years of OT experience, joining  our team in June of 2015. She currently works full time in the public school system and works part time at Angel Care. She specializes with elementary and middle school children on the spectrum . Tracy lives in Haverhill with her husband and (2) children.  

April Leydon, M.A. SLPA recently joined Angel Care in October of 2017. She has been a SLPA for 7 years until she went back to get her Masters in Special Education, but still keeps her SLPA license active. She currently works full time in the Triton Regional School District as a Special Education ASD classroom teacher. She specializes with working with children with language and social needs as well as those who are AAC users. April is glad that she is able to teach during the day and provide speech therapy services after school. She is married with 2 dogs.

Fran Boland, M.S., CCC-SLP is a nationally certified speech pathologist who brings more than 25 years of clinical and educational experience to Angle Care. Fran is a graduate of Boston College and holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College, Boston. Her special interests include diagnostic assessment, apraxia, phonological disorders, auditory processing, and social and behavioral deficits. In the summertime she enjoys spending time on Cape Cod with her family.

Support Staff

Mindy Barbrick is our Office Manager. She holds a business degree and manages the front office and support staff.  Mindy lives in Haverhill with her husband and their two daughters.

Sherry DiPrima is our Referral Coordinator.  She handles all referrals, authorizations, and new clients coming in.  She lives in Methuen with her husband Jeff, teenage son Jakob, and two dogs Cowboy and Sophia.

Abby Tobin is our rehab aide and office support "go to". She is currently studying health science, while waiting to get into the COTA program at North Shore Community College.
